Header and Side Bar Tutorial

This comes about from me playing with ideas...*

  

You will need.

PSP

I used 9 Has been tested in 8

Selections Box Frame

Gold Foil

Gradient of choice

Tube of Choice

 .........................

 

Preparation before starting….

 

1. Unzip the Box Frame Selections to your PSP Selections File.

 

2.  Open Tube and Edit>Copy> minimise….Tip Larger tubes that have a central focus work best.

 

3. Set Your Foreground colour To Gold Foil Pattern>Angle>0 Scale>100

 

4. Set your Background Colour To a Gradient colour of choice>To compliment your Tube>Settings>

Angle>45

Repeats>0

Invert>Unchecked.

Texture>Unchecked.

 ......................

 

Now we can start.

 

1.    File New Image>Transparent. 500 X 500.

 

2.    Selections>Load/Save Selection>Load selection from Disc>Load >Box Frame Selections>settings>

SourceLuminace>Checked

Replace selection>Checked

Invert>Un-Checked.

 

3.    Tool Bar>Flood Fill Tool>Fill The lines of  selection > Gold Foil>Left Click.

 

4.    Effects>3D>Effects>Drop Shadow>Settings>

Vertical & Horizontal>2

Opacity>100

Blur>5.00

Colour> Black

 

5.    Selections>select none.

 

6.    Tool Bar>Magic Wand> settings> ADD>RGB value>Tolerance>0 Sample merge>Unchecked. Contiguous>Checked. Feather>Unchecked.

 

7.    Select The Middle of the centre large area The smaller Top Box left and The Middle Top box left.. Making four selections in all…see fig 1..We will cover the Top Box letter!.

8.    Selections>Modify>Expand>4

 

9.    Edit>Paste>Paste into selection

 

10 Selections>Select none

 

11. Tool Bar>Magic Wand>Settings as above. Select The Last Top Box>Left. In the middle of the boxes.. See Fig 3.

12. Edit>Paste>Paste into Selection.

 

13. Selections>Select None.

 

14. Effects>3D Effects>Drop Shadow> settings as above.

 

15. Layers>New raster Layer.

 

16. Tool Bar>Flood Fill Tool>Fill with your Gradient>Right Click.

 

17. Layers>Arrange>Send to Bottom.

 

18. Layers>Merge>Merge All.

 

19. Image>Add Border>Symmetric>Checked>5 pixels.

 

20. Tool Bar>Magic Wand>. Settings as before.>Select New edge border

 

21. Effects>Texture Effects> Sculpture>Settings.

Gold Fill as Pattern. Size>100

Smoothness>1

Depth>20

Ambiance & Shininess>0

Colour White.

Angle>315.

Intensity>50

Elevation>30.

 

22.  Effects>3d effects>Drop Shadow> settings as before.

 

23. Selections>Select None.

 

24. Repeat Steps>19  to 23 again.

 

25. Adjust>Sharpness>Sharpen.

 

26. Add Your Watermark.

 

27. File Jpeg Optimiser>set 20%.

 

 

Well done All finished. Arrange in Letter creator Incredimail.

Header Tab>Cantered>

Back ground Body Tab> select with Dropper tool.

“Side Bars”

 

1.    Tool Bar>Crop Tool Select The Right Part of the Header Image>see fig 4

2.    Effects>Reflection Effects>Feedback>settings>

Opacity>100

Intensity>30

Horizontal & Vertical>0

Elliptical>Un-Checked.

 

3.    Repeat Steps header 19 – 23 .Add border and Effects

 

4.    Name and save>file Jpeg>optimiser. Set at 20%.

To assemble in Letter Creator Incredimail.

 

Left Tab>Image> set to centre> Text align Centre.

Again for the Right Tab.

 

That’s It You’re done!
